Golf Course Master Plan Next Steps
From Sunday 28th to Tuesday 30th October the Club hosted a series of member Consultation Sessions with Course Designer Gil Hanse and Landscape Architect Harley Kruse. More than 500 members attended across the four sessions, contributing to the discussion on the Club’s Golf Course Master Plan.
Thank you to all those who attended. For those who were unable to attend, all Master Plan material discussed in the sessions is currently available in the Information Room at the Clubhouse, or via the ‘Golf Course Master Plan’ button on the homepage of the website www.rsgc.com.au. A video of the Consultation Sessions will also be published on the website next week.
Gil Hanse’s Golf Design Philosophy
For members who did not have the opportunity to hear him speak at one of the Consultation Sessions, Gil has put together a brief overview of his design philosophy detailing how it will combine with Royal Sydney’s character and history.
A video of Gil discussing his philosophy is available via the Master Plan section of the Club’s website. Videos of computer-generated impressions of the re-designed Championship Course are also available.
Master Plan Survey
Following the Consultation Sessions and publication of all Master Plan information in October, the Club is now seeking feedback on from members throughout November.
In the week commencing Monday 5th November, members will receive an email from the General Committee with a link to the Master Plan Survey. Please note that this link is unique to each member so please do not pass your link onto anyone else. The survey will close at midnight on Friday 30th November.
