Family Tennis Tournament – June 2025
The Family Tennis Tournament returned to Royal Sydney on Sunday 15th June, drawing 20 teams from the Club’s community.
Participants were divided into three divisions to ensure balanced play, with matches scheduled across the morning. Parents teamed up with their children, showcasing camaraderie, teamwork, and a shared love for the game.
The youngest player on the day was just 8 years old, competing with impressive composure, while the oldest junior, aged 17, demonstrated strong court awareness and polish. Families supported each other on and off the court, highlighting the event’s role in reinforcing the Club’s family values and generational tennis culture.
“It’s always a pleasure to see so many families out on court together. The atmosphere was relaxed (with just the right amount of competitiveness), and the standard of play across each division was impressive,” said Head Tennis Professional, Mattia Stoissa.
