David Buckland

Honorary Treasurer since 2018

David became Honorary Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Sub-Committee in 2018.

For more than half of his career he has been the inaugural CEO of two businesses working in the financial services sector. Both organisations developed a policy of donating a portion of earnings to charitable causes, and this has aggregated to nearly $10m.

His qualifications include Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Applied Finance and Investment, Fellow of the Financial Institute of Australasia, Fellow of CPA Australia and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. In addition, he has completed the Harvard Business School Owner Presidents Management program.

He is married to Penny, and has two children, Angus (24) and Amelia (22). Angus and David are keen golfers while Penny and Amelia play tennis, swim and are regulars at the Fitness Centre.
