Summary: Four Ball Best Ball Aggregate Par match to encourage friendship between the two clubs, played on a Thursday. Held in alternate years at Royal Sydney and The Australian GC. Teams of 12 pairs from each club.
History: The trophy was bought by the Royal Sydney and The Australian Golf Club Associates to commemorate the opening of The Australian’s new clubhouse in 1933. The previous clubhouse burnt down in 1931. It has been played for every year since, except for four years during World War 2. 15 pairs were reduced to 12 pairs in 2018.
Traditions & Standards: Host Club holds lunch following play. Trophy and prizes presented at lunch.
Dress: Golf attire after play.
