Summary: A friendly match between City and Country members held every two years in a different country location organised by the Country Members Sub-Committee. 18-Hole Four Ball Best Ball Stableford. The winner is the team with the overall highest aggregate score.

History: ‘The Boot’ is the prize for the biennial match between the City and County men played at a country NSW venue. First played in 2014, ‘The Boot’ was donated by Max Graham after he broke his leg in a polo accident. One boot was cut off his ankle and he had no need for the single remaining riding boot. The event was established by A.W. McDonald, then Chair of the Country members Sub-Committee, at the first City Country match in Cootamundra.

Traditions & Standards: Trophy is presented at lunch after play.
Dress: Golf attire for presentation at lunch.
