Summary: 4BBB Par. Maximum GA Handicap 45.0. Members can play if on a higher handicap but must play off a maximum Daily Handicap of 45.
History: Trophy presented ‘by her friends’, and donated by Mrs Diana Rose in 1972 after Mrs Clive (Nin) Robinson’s death in 1971. The competition is a four-ball best ball on the Championship Course which endeavours to pair higher handicap players with lower handicaps. Nin Robinson was Associate Captain at Royal Sydney from 1945-1946. She was a fine golfer winning the Australian Ladies Championship in 1934, the NSW Championship in 1935 & 1936 and the NSW Foursomes in 1939. She captained the Australian team which first played in here against Great Britain in 1935. She also won the Royal Sydney Associates Club Championship in 1935, 1951 & 1952.
Traditions & Standards: Higher handicap players should have a chance to play with lower handicap players. Partners of high and low handicaps are arranged by the Women’s Captain and a member of the Women’s Golf Sub-Committee. Lunch held after the event in tables of 8, and a picture of Nin Robinson is displayed on all tables. Trophy presented at lunch after play, and prizes awarded at Women’s Annual Dinner.
