Croquet Regulations

Dress Code

Sporting attire should be neat and designed for, or recognised as being appropriate for the sport to be played. Members whose dress and appearance do not meet the above requirements will be denied use of the Clubhouse and sporting facilities.

Only flat soled, closed in shoes should be worn. Men’s shirts must have a collar and be tucked inside the waistband. White attire is to be worn for all Interclub and Finals matches. If choosing to wear shorts, players are required to wear white socks which must be visible above the shoe.

Use of the Croquet Lawns

The croquet lawns are open daily from 9.00am (weather permitting). The croquet lawns are available for members daily and may be reserved by booking on the Club’s website (www.rsgc.com.au), telephoning the Fitness Centre Service Desk or in person. Club mallets (which are in the mobile storage rack and clearly marked), balls, clips and pegs are available from the Croquet Room and are to be returned after play.

Competitions

Singles and Doubles Championships and handicap competitions are arranged during the year. Dates are listed in the calendar and entry sheets are posted in the Croquet Room. Lawns may be booked for match play in Club and other competitions directly online or via the Fitness Centre Service Desk.

Tuition

Handbooks and the Laws of Croquet are available to be read in the Croquet Room and tuition can be arranged through the Sport Administrator.

Croquet Times

Please meet at the Croquet Lawns 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Association Croquet Times (West Lawn Only)

** Association Croquet Club Times that are not booked by 4pm the day prior will be opened for any format of play.
