Graeme Bailey

President since 2014

Graeme joined as a member of Royal Sydney in 1984, when he was in his mid-thirties. Like many members of that age family responsibilities and professional life precluded an active interest in Club life for many subsequent years.

Graeme is a Chartered Accountant who worked at KPMG in the Tax Practice and became Australian National Managing Partner – Tax & Legal. In his final eight years of full-time work Graeme was KPMG’s Chief Operating Officer for the Asia Pacific Region and a member of the international firm’s global executive team.

Between 2004 – 2009 Graeme juggled his working life with his position as Honorary Treasurer of Royal Sydney. In the latter role Graeme took responsibility for the cost protections and financial modeling associated with the Fitness Centre project, and was an Office-bearer of the Club when that project was approved at the May 2008 EGM.
