
Joan Dale
Part of General Committee since 2017
Joan served on the Women’s Golf Sub-Committee from 2013 to 2016 and became a member of the General Committee in 2017. At the same time she joined the House Committee.
From 2013 to 2017, Joan was the librarian for the Ladies’ Locker Room Library.
Joan was a high school teacher (BA.,MA.,DipEd) prior to becoming a mother of four sons.
With her teaching background, Joan has conducted public speaking courses, under the Toastmasters’ program and youth leadership courses at the Scots College and Cranbrook School. Since 2002, she has been a guide at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Having been a member of the Club since 2003, Joan has been a regular participant in women’s golf and has played in numerous representative teams for the Club. She was Bronze Champion in 2017.
All her immediate family (husband, John and four adult sons) are members of the Club.
As well as being an avid reader and a member of a Royal Sydney Book Club group, Joan is a keen and regular bridge player. Her interests include support for the Sydney Theatre Company, the Brandenburg Orchestra and Opera Australia.
