Stephen Martin

Stephen is a partner in the law firm Garland Hawthorn Brahe. Stephen has been a partner of that firm since 1982 and practices mainly in general commercial law including property development, banking and commercial litigation. He also continues the firm’s tradition of acting for many pastoral interests in New South Wales. He is also the managing partner of the firm.

Stephen is a director of a number of private companies that invest in Australian rural properties.

Stephen became a member of the Club in 1988 however it was not until his children grew older that he became an active golfer at the Club and was able to participate more actively in Club activities.

Stephen’s wife Susan is also a member of the Club. Susan was a badge tennis player at the Club for many years. Over the last 5-6 years she has become an avid golfer and bridge player.

As well as Stephen’s interest in golf, he is a keen skier and an ex-rugby player.
