Nominee Statement
I have been a member since 1975 and have thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful opportunity this has given me. It is a great joy to me having access to the Club, its facilities and the general camaraderie which it engenders. I feel very much ‘at home’ at the club as there are a significant number of members who I know and like.
I have also been fortunate in being on the Finance Sub-Committee for a number of years and been asked to deal with certain complaints as a member, and a chairman, of a Conduct Review Panel dealing with complaints. These positions have allowed me to get to know a number of committed members and has given me a real appreciation of the workings of the Club and the standards which go with the membership. The privilege of membership should never be forgotten.
I feel like I have the knowledge and experience to handle the Treasurer’s position effectively and work collaboratively with the Royal Sydney staff and the General Committee. I am also working with the Finance Sub-Committee to help maximise its potential input into the Club’s activities.
