Summary: Irish Stableford to combine players of varying handicaps held on a Tuesday as close as possible to the Club Birthday (2nd August). In every team of four there must be one player from each of the three handicap divisions. The fourth team member should be from Division 2 or 3. Best two of four scores count. Maximum GA Handicap 45.0. members on a GA handicap higher than 45 may play, but must play off a Daily Handicap of 45. members enter individually and are placed in teams by Women’s Captain and a member of the Women’s Golf Sub-committee. Shotgun start with lunch to follow play.
History: Trophy presented by Mrs R.D. (Patricia) Bridges OBE to commemorate the Foundation of The Royal Sydney Golf Club on 2nd August, 1893.
Mrs Patricia Bridges was a member of Royal Sydney from 1973, Associate Captain from 1980-85. She was a tireless supporter of women’s golf internationally, in Australia and at Royal Sydney. She was Golf Australia’s only Life member.
Traditions & Standards: Trophy presented at lunch, and prizes awarded at Women’s Annual Dinner.
