Summary: The purpose of the eclectic competition is to identify the Member with the lowest score over 18 holes made up from the Member’s best score on each hole in regular Individual and Four Ball competitions. Separate competitions are held on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The winner is determined by deducting 1/2 GA Handicap on the closing date. All Members are automatically entered in the competition and their score is automatically updated. The ecletics commence on the first Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of the year, and end on the day before Finals Day.

History: In the days before computer scoring, results were entered manually on sheets in a book kept in the Club Bar. Many Members simply forgot to participate or to enter their best scores after their rounds.

Traditions & Standards: Prize awarded at the President & Captain’s Dinner.
